2、Source of propylene
Propane catalytic cracking method:This is currently the most commonly used method for producing propylene.By decomposing propane into components such as propylene and propane under the action of a catalyst,and then separating and purifying to obtain propylene products.This method has the advantages of high production efficiency and low cost.
Coal gasification method:producing propylene through the synthesis gas generated during the gasification process of coal.The advantage of this method is that it utilizes renewable resources for production,but the production cost is relatively high.
Acetylene method:By reacting acetylene gas with water under the action of a catalyst,propylene is produced.This method has low requirements for raw materials,but high production costs.
Refinery gas recovery:The refinery gas recovered during the production process of the refinery contains propylene,which can be separated and purified to obtain propylene.
Ethylene co production:In the production process of ethylene,ethylene and propylene are often co produced,which can be separated to obtain propylene.
Coal to olefin conversion from methanol:Coal is first converted into methanol,and then further converted into olefins,including propylene.
Propane dehydrogenation to produce propylene:Propylene is produced through propane dehydrogenation reaction,which is a specialized production process.
3、Main purpose
(1) Used for producing acrylonitrile,epichlorohydrin,acetone,etc.Used to produce various important organic chemical raw materials,generate synthetic resins,synthetic rubber,and various fine chemicals.
(2) The largest amount of propylene is used in the production of polypropylene.In addition,propylene can be used to produce acrylonitrile,isopropanol,phenol and acetone,butanol and octanol,acrylic acid and its esters,as well as epoxy propane and propylene glycol,epoxy chloropropane,and synthetic glycerol.
(3) The main advantage of using propylene refrigerant as a refrigerant is that it does not damage the ozone layer and has a very small greenhouse effect,making it considered an environmentally friendly refrigerant.
