I. General Transportation Principles
When handling gas cylinders, adhere to the principles of gentle handling, smooth and slow movement, dedicated personnel operation, and full protective measures. Rough handling is strictly prohibited. During high-temperature periods, minimize the transfer of gas cylinders. If necessary, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and high-temperature environments to prevent pressure buildup from heat, which could pose safety hazards.
II. Preparatory Requirements Before Transportation
Before moving, inspect the cylinder valve, protective cap, and shock ring to ensure they are intact without any leaks, corrosion, deformation, or damage.
2. Ensure the cylinder valve is fully closed, secure the cylinder cap, and remove all pressure reducers and hoses to prevent damage from impacts during transportation.
3. Inspect the transport passage for unobstructed access, absence of obstacles, level ground without elevation differences, and non-slip surfaces to ensure safe transfer.
III. On-site Handling Operation Standards
Gas cylinders must be transported using dedicated cylinder carts, kept upright and securely fastened at all times. It is strictly prohibited to carry, hold, drag, roll, or drop cylinders by oneself.
2. During the transportation process, move at a steady and slow pace to avoid sudden stops, sharp turns, and violent shaking, preventing the gas cylinder from tipping over, colliding with walls, equipment, or other cylinders.
3. It is strictly prohibited to invert or transport gas cylinders horizontally. Additionally, avoid storing or moving them near high temperatures, direct flames, or heat sources.
4. Maintain a safe distance when handling multiple bottles, classify and transport them separately, and avoid mixing flammable gases with oxidizing gases during transit.
IV. Special Requirements for High-Temperature Weather
1. Gas cylinder handling operations are generally not conducted during the high-temperature midday hours in summer; if necessary, they must be scheduled during shaded and well-ventilated periods.
2. Avoid prolonged exposure of gas cylinders to sunlight during transportation. Do not leave cylinders parked in high-temperature environments for extended periods to prevent sudden pressure buildup and potential hazards.
V. Storage Requirements After Handling
After the gas cylinders are moved into place, they must be immediately stood upright and secured using brackets or chains to prevent tipping, ensuring stable and orderly placement.
2. Store full and empty bottles separately in designated zones with clear labeling, and keep flammable gases and oxidizing gases isolated at safe distances.
3. Regularly inspect gas cylinders for impacts, damages, or abnormal leaks. If any issues are found, immediately stop usage, isolate the cylinders, and report for disposal.
VI. Prohibited Behaviors
1. Dragging, rolling, throwing, or striking gas cylinders is strictly prohibited;
2. It is strictly prohibited to transport gas cylinders under pressure or with pressure relief valves engaged;
3. It is strictly prohibited to expose gas cylinders to high temperatures or leave them parked near heat sources for extended periods;
4. It is strictly prohibited to mix or store flammable, explosive, and oxidizing gas cylinders together.
